Wow! We have been so blessed here in Boise with a long fall! We have had chilly mornings, perfect walking weather afternoons, and beautiful colors! What a joy to live in a place where we truly experience all four seasons!
Yes, all four seasons! As I sit here today, writing, we have gentle, white snowflakes falling and covering our lawn and driveway. Today it won’t amount to much, but it is a sign of the days to come! And this year, a first for most of us, we are going snowshoeing! Yes, our Walk to Hike ladies are excited to learn to snowshoe! We will be sure to post pictures!
Today, I reflect on our fall walks, our times of leaf crunching, times of beauty along the Boise River, and our times of conversation as we sat and took in the beauty of it all. Our favorite spots have become the Boise River area near the Discovery Center on the outskirts of the City of Boise; we also enjoy Riverside Walk off Glenwood, near the fairgrounds; as well as our walks at Marianne Williams Park and near Bagley Park, off Park Center, onto the Greenbelt.
Our addition of Walk to Hike has been a true adventure as we have walked the heights of Camel’s Back, The Military Reserve, and Table Rock! We’ve experienced birds, squirrels, and other small wildlife. We have yet to see the rare sighting of a bobcat or anything larger—we are really ok with this LOL. We hope you enjoy the pictures below from our adventures.
We are excited to bring Walking With Women to other areas. Ladies, if you live in an area you would like to explore, would like to find other ladies to walk with, or you belong to a group or church that is looking for ideas, Katy would enjoy connecting with you.
