Katy has been described as an avid adventurer. Why? Because Katy wakes up each morning with a purpose and a desire to connect with others. She enjoys discovering new life experiences each and every day, whether that is beginning a routine day or traveling to different parts of the world to share what she has been led to do in life. She has a message and wants you to not only hear this message but live it day in, day out. She decided never to just SURVIVE each day. Instead, she THRIVES and has developed a coaching skill and process for you to also find HOPE through Transition
Katy will bring positive change to your life. Her specific niche is to coach and partner alongside women who are experiencing any type of life transition and learn to discover HOPE and PURPOSE once again.
A little about her personal life, Katy is married to Scott Nelson; between them, they have 4 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, and 5 grandchildren. She enjoys time with her family, bird watching, camping and exploring God’s great outdoors. Since marrying Scott in 2017, she has discovered the NHL world. She is an avid Las Vegas Golden Knight’s girl, and, naturally a regular attending fan of the Boise Idaho Steelheads! Go Knights and Steelies!!!
Her past education and experience have prepared her to stand beside other women going through their own transitions. Katy earned a BA in Religion and Christian Ministries from Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon and became an Ordained Minister in 2006. She then became a Certified Professional Life Coach (CPLC) from the Christian Coach Institute in 2016. In 2018, Katy earned her ACC from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She has also completed Group Mastery Coaching and in 2020 she became a Certified DISC Facilitator.
